Rules
MEMBERSHIP
This is a private League. Membership invites can only be approved by the League Overlords. Once a person is a member they are responsible for playing their games on the dedicated night and time. Members will receive an email/Xbox Live notification that their application has been accepted. Once a member is accepted into the league they will gain admission in to the league website. Enrollment and Recruiting will be open for 2 weeks. After that all membership requests will be rejected.
All new members are required to complete the information sheet prior to the start of the league season. If the information is not completed and turned in by the first match, you may not be permitted to play.
OVERLORDS
Overlords are the all powerful rulers of the league. There shall be two overlords. Overlords have the final say in all issues, and have the ability to officially amend any rule as it is deemed necessary. Both Overlords must be in agreeance of an amendment/rule-change before it is made official. Any and all rule changes/amendments will be announced publicly before being put into affect.
TEAMS & TEAM LEADERS
Each team will consist of 4-6 players; with 1 Team Leader per team and up to 4 substitute players listed on the roster. Overlords will each be a Team Leader as well. Team leaders may wish to register a whole team under their name, or have an Overlord assign a team for them.
Team leaders will be responsible for recording the scores of their OWN teams and submitting them to the League Overloads for official record keeping and leader board status.
Team leaders will be responsible for making sure their entire team is there and ready to play on the given night and time.
Team Leaders are responsible for finding substitute players for members of their team that are not able to play on the given night/time of league matches. Each team will have its own list of permanent substitutes to choose from (see substitute/absent player rules)
GAMES
Gameplay & Scoring
Games will run weekly, on Friday or Saturday nights at 10:00pm EST, and if neeeded, Sunday Afternoons. League Overlords will decide on game options and Room Hosts. This information will be available at the League’s website no less than one day prior to matches. It is advised that Room Hosts sign on a bit early so that they may configure the room and send out the necessary invites.
ROOMS WILL ALWAYS BE A PRIVATE GAME. Non-league members are not permitted to join in ANY league games. Inviting a non-league member to a game will result in forfeiture of the match for your team. League Overlords will dictate who is setting up the rooms for that night. That info will be posted on the website prior to matches.
Games will be a series of best of 3 of a particular game type on a specific map for 3 maps. Games will have a time limit of 15 minutes each. Scores to be recorded by Team Leaders are; Kills, Downs, Total Points. Scores & Points are to be recorded for each player at the end of each game. It is advised but not mandatory that players also write their scores down in order to help keep scoring as accurate as possible.
Game Options
Game options and maps will be set by the League Overlords prior to the designated game night and time. Game play will vary from week to week as will the maps and weapons available on the map. Room Hosts will be responsible for setting these options appropriately. If game settings are failed to be complied with, the Room Host’s team that did not comply will earn a complete loss for his/her team for that match set. Any player may report a Team Leader’s lack of compliance to a League Overlord. If a Team Leader fails in his/her duties more than twice, the position of team leader will be stripped away and awarded to that team’s top player.
Forfeiture
If a team forfeits for any reason, that team receives 0 points for all players and games for the night. All wins are given to the opposing team for that night. Scores will be given to that team and its players based off the average scores of the other winning teams from that night.
Scoring
Team and individual ratings will be based off TOTAL points. The team with the most points will hold the lead position on the leader boards. Player total points will also be tracked, but will not impact team standings. Player leader boards are for informational purposes only.
Final tournament
At the end of the season (6 weeks) a final tournament will be held to see which team is truly the best of the best in the league. Matches will be straight forward single map best of 7 rounds. Victors move on to fight in the next bracket, losers stay back and cheer on their favorite team.
